Golf Outing – October 21st, 2019
Our annual golf outing was a success from beginning to end. We raised $11,000 and entertained 116 golfers. The day began with ideal weather for golfing, sunny and cool, a day sandwiched between two rain filled days. Minnesota Twins pitcher Devin Smeltzer, a childhood cancer survivor treated at St. Christopher’s, brought new energy and some celebrity to the event by partnering with Terry and the golf committee. Devin also brought us support from Independent Sports and Entertainment, a leading representation, management and marketing agency that works with 300 of the best athletes in the MLB, NFL and NBA. With their support we welcomed new sponsors and presented some exciting new items for the auction and for door prizes. Thanks again to Devin, ISE, all our sponsors and golfers and the committee for another successful event.
Bowlathon – March 2nd, 2019
Once again, our annual bowlathon was a great time and a huge success. We had tables full of door prizes, kid auction items, grown-up auction items, and alleys full of bowlers. We added 25 new bowlers, and welcomed back about 100 loyal supporters. Three patients in remission stopped in, along with our favorite doctor, Dr. Greg Halligan. As always, Kapo’s Gang from the Mid-Atlantic Clown Association brought smiles and laughter, face painting and balloon animals for the little ones. And I think I saw a few of the older boys getting their faces painted!! Thanks to Rob Wyatt for the UTZ donation, and to Boomer, the Trenton Thunder Mascot for dropping by. And mark your calendar for next year, March 7th, 2020. Look forward to seeing you there!!
